Reiki & Chakra Balancing

What Can it Do for You?

Many of you might already be wondering what are Chakras and what is Reiki? Well let me tell you! Chakras exist within the subtle body where the energy line resides. The seven chakras act as nodes for energy channels to feed through. When an imbalance or blockage occurs from a life event or illness, it causes a lack of energy to flow through that or multiple chakras.

Our service utilizes a combination of healing crystals and essential oils to aid in the re-balancing of each of the seven chakras. Your seven chakras include the Crown, Third Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, and Root. They exist in the midline of the body from the top of your head to the base of your spine. I’ll go a little more in depth about each one for you below.

Your Crown (Sahasrara) exists about two inches above the head and is your connection to the divine. It magnetizes your desires, embodies your highest potential, awakens your faith and spiritual power. When it’s blocked you’ll experience depression, learning difficulties, and brain fog. You’ll practice strong faith, intelligence, awareness, and understanding when it is in balance. When you become ungrounded, thoughts of judgement occur, and spiritual addiction happens, your crown chakra is overactive. To activate your crown chakra during meditation, your sound is going to be Om (ohmmmmmm) and your correlating crystals will be selenite, clear quartz, moonstone, fluorite, amethyst, and labradorite. Sandalwood, saffron, jasmine, and lotus will impel your crown chakra best.

The Third Eye (Ajna) is located between your brows above your nose and is your connection to intuition and wisdom. It allows your intuition to lead you, you to tap into divine guidance, and aids you in making decisions with ease. Poor judgement, lack of focus, poor imagination, lack of vision beyond the physical all occur when it is blocked. When your third eye is balanced, you’ll be intuitive, imaginative, and have clear thoughts and visions. An overactive third eye results in nightmares, delusions, and hallucinations. Activate your third eye during meditation by saying Sham (shaaaaam) and using lapis lazuli, sapphire, iolite, or sodalite. Geranium, basil, jasmine, lavender, and rosemary will aid in healing your third eye.

Throat chakra (Vishuddha) is going to be at the base of your neck and is your connection to your truth, verbal expression, and ability to channel. When blocked, you’ll feel as though you can’t express yourself efficiently. You may speak out of turn, be misunderstood, be secretive, or have poor listening skills. Confident expression, clear communications, and diplomacy are all traits of a well balanced throat chakra. Signs of an overactive throat chakra are being overly opinionated, loud, critical, gossipy, use of harsh words, and talking over others. Ham (haaaaaam) is going to be your throat chakra sound for use in meditation. Blue lace agate, angelite, turquoise, amazonite, kyanite, blue tigers eye, and blue topaz all can be used to help mobilize your throat chakra. Rosemary, lime, sage, Indian champa, and cedarwood will rouse your throat chakra.

Your Heart chakra (Anahata) is located in the middle of your chest and is the center of your emotional connections, relationships, and ability to give and receive love. Lack of empathy, bitterness, intolerance, and trust issues all correlate with a blockage. When thoughts and feelings of peace, love, compassion, and tolerance come with ease, your heart chakra is at a balance. Jealousy, codependency, and giving too much of one self signify an overactive heart chakra. Yam (yaaaaaam) is your heart chakra sound and you may find rose quartz, green aventurine, rhodochrosite, rhodonite, amazonite, malachite, and unite helpful in energize your heart chakra. Ylang ylang, rose, jasmine, vetiver, pine, and rosewood will open your heart.

The third chakra, Solar Plexus (Manipura) is located in the center of your stomach near your diaphragm. It provides you with self empowerment, aligned actions, and transcendence from victim hood. Low self-esteem, feeling powerless, and inferiority are results of a blocked solar plexus. Balancing it will equip you with confidence, feelings of control, drive, and a healthy self-image. Traits of being power-hungry, domineering, overly critical, and perfection signifies an overly active solar plexus. Call to your solar plexus with Ram (raaaaam) and citrine, tigers eye, yellow calcite, topaz, and yellow aventurine. Lemongrass, fennel, coriander, lime, myrrh, frankincense, juniper, and lemon will all rejuvenate your solar plexus.

Sacral chakra (Swadhisthana) is located towards the intestines in your lower belly and is the center of your self expression, creativity, sexuality, and emotional pleasure. A low libido, fear of intimacy, lack of creativity, and feelings of isolation occurs when a block in the sacral chakra is present. A healthy, balanced sacral presents signs of passion, creativity, libido, and optimism. Being overly emotional, fixated on sexual activity, hedonistic, and manipulative imply you have an overactive sacral chakra. Vam (vaaaaaam) is your sacral sound and carnelian, peach moonstone, orange aventurine, and orange calcite will all trigger your sacral chakra. Orange, tangerine, neroli, jasmine, rosewood, clary sage, grapefruit, and bergamot will prompt healing of the sacral chakra.

The first chakra, Root chakra (Muladhara), is located at the base of your spine near your pubic bone and is your infinite support, safety, connection, and attraction for abundance. Fear, anxiety, financial instability, and being ungrounded all demonstrate a blocked root chakra. A sense of safety, security, centeredness, and feeling happy about life reveal a balanced root chakra. Greed, lust for power, materialism, aggression, and cynicism represent an overactive root chakra. Lam (laaaam) is your root sound and smokey quartz, red jasper, red tigers eye, obsidian, jet, black tourmaline, and bloodstone will stimulate your root chakra. Aromatherapy with vetiver, patchouli, cedar, ginger, rosewood, cloves, and black pepper will help heal your root chakra.

Reiki is a traditional Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. Reiki treats the whole person’s body, emotions, mind, and spirit. Reiki is a natural and simple healing method anyone can use. It works great with other medical techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Rei means higher intelligence or subtle wisdom and Ki is defined as energy or life force. Together, it can be translated as spiritually guided life force energy. It can bring emotional balance, clarity, and self-awareness. Studies have shown that it is effective in managing pain, anxiety, and irregular heart rate, blood pressure, and salivary cortisol.

While Reiki is a spiritual practice, it is not a religion oriented or derived. It has no dogma that you must believe and it can be practiced along with any religion or none at all. It does not flow from the practitioner but rather through them as a channel. During reiki, the recipient will traditionally lie down fully clothed. The practitioner will place their hands gently on the participants body or directly above. You may feel warmth, coolness, tingling, vibrations, or simply relaxation. Some may experience visions or colors while eyes are closed.

Crystals, aromatherapy, and intentions or affirmations may also be utilized in chakra balancing and reiki services. All aid the healing of the body, mind, and spirit. We are always open to questions or concerns. Consults may be scheduled as well to find which service may be appropriate for you. Multiple sessions may be required to provide you with the needed results for complete healing. This will be a continuing practice and awareness that you will have and can use for the rest of your life to help balance your body, mind, and spirit.
