Living with Hormonal Acne

Stress, life changes, diet, and bodily changes all affect your hormonal balance. It can be difficult to control but thankfully Eminence Organic Skin Care has developed an amazing line to help combat hormonal imbalances and breakouts. We wanted to demonstrate how effective this line could be, so we created a "case study" (you can read more about it here) for those who have advanced skincare concerns ranging anywhere from cystic acne, hyperpigmentation and sun damage, to severe rosacea.

One of our clients had been struggling with her acne for some time and was ready to gain better control over her skin. Even after seeing a dermatologist and taking prescribed medications, she still hadn’t been able to get to where she wanted to be, in regards to her skincare goals. After a brief consultation and discussion with her, we were able to come to an agreement on her prescribed routine!

We started off the first month by dropping off any other skincare regimens she had been previously using and all prescribed skincare products. She was required to solely utilize the Eminence Organics Skin Care line so that we could better document her results and adjust any treatments based on her skin’s needs. We started out with a full Custom Eminence facial once a week for the first month. The results we saw only after she had switched skin care products, were amazing. After we began regimented facials, we quickly saw progress in the direction we were heading. I understand it can be difficult to make a commitment to a regimen such as this and we are here to help you as best as we can. Lifestyle and diet changes can be as important as your skincare routine to help achieve your goals.

Once we hit our second month of treatments, the skin had almost cleared up completely and with the texture improving greatly, we were able to start performing some additional treatments. We dropped down from weekly to bi-weekly facials including dermaplaning to help combat some scarring that had occurred from the cystic breakouts. Utilizing an enzymatic peel and dermaplaning combined, we were able to help lift some of the hyperpigmentation and discoloration from the scarring and exfoliate it by dermaplaning.

Our case study was also utilizing one of our at-home peels as well. Towards the end of this month, we started realizing mild breaking out around the chin again so we bumped up our facials back to once a week and we advised the client to apply the peel up to three times a week as long as she wasn’t experiencing any discomfort or irritation. With the advanced treatments, the client was highly advised to wear SPF to help combat any photosensitivity caused by the treatments. You can read the case study’s testimonial below:

Week after week I started seeing improvements with my skin. I quickly started having fewer breakouts, not as much redness, and even began seeing acne scars start to be less noticeable.

With continued use of the products at home and treatments in the salon, we were able to make large improvements in the client’s skin. However, due to Covid-19, our study was cut short. We are hoping to pick up where we left off, once things return back to normal. The results we did achieve were still proof that the Eminence line is capable of so much!
